TALK ON UNIVERSITY AUTOMOMY AND DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION BETWEEN HOA LU UNIVERSITY AND FISU MEKONG DELTA

Implementing the key work plan and program for the academic year 2022-2023; with the aim of gradually reaching towards university autonomy and well performing the task of digital transformation in higher education, on April 7, 2023, Hoa Lu University organized a talk on autonomy and digital transformation in higher education.

The seminar was attended by managers, scientists, leading experts in the field of Information Technology of Fisu Mekong Delta (Clubs of Faculties - Schools - Institute of Information and Communication Technology of the Mekong Delta). The delegates came from Can Tho University, Tra Vinh University, Kien Giang University, Tien Giang University, Bac Lieu University, Cuu Long University, Tan Tao University. There were also leaders of Hoa Lu University, lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Information Technology attending the seminar.

Opening of the talk, Dr. Vu Van Truong, Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Hoa Lu University expressed his pleasure in welcoming managers and experts to attend the talk. He briefly reported on the development history of Hoa Lu University, introduced the current training programs, especially the Information Technology training program. He wished that the delegation would share experiences on autonomy, digital transformation and IT training.

The attendees shared about the current situation of university’s autonomy and the ongoing process of digital transformation. They also exchanged insights on mobilizing investment resources for higher education in the context of autonomy, the obstacles faced, the challenges encountered, and the corresponding solutions, along with the accomplishments achieved.

Fisu Mekong Delta presented gifts to the Hoa Lu University

The delegation of Fisu Mekong Delta presented Hoa Lu university some teaching materials for the Information Technology training program from the college of Information and Communication Technology (Can Tho University), along with products from several other universities.

Concluding the talk, Dr. Vu Van Truong would like to thank the sharing and valuable experiences from managers, scientists and experts. He also emphasized that the seminar had great significance for Hoa Lu University in the upcoming time. The Rector also hoped that Hoa Lu University would cooperate with universities belonging to the Clubs of Faculty - Institute of Information and Communication Technology in the Mekong Delta. This collaboration would encompass various domains such as information and communication technology, education, research, and more.
