CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF NINH BINH PROVINCE VISITED AND EXTENDED TRADITIONAL BUNPIMAY 2566 NEW YEAR’S GREETINGS TO LAO EXCHANGE STUDENTS.
On April 15, 2023, Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province visited and extended traditional Bunpimay New Year’s greetings to Laotian people, particularly Laotian exchange students studying at Hoa Lu University.
Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Phan Thanh Cong – Provincial Commissioner, Director of Ninh Binh Department of Education and Training, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Provincial Commissioner, Director of Ninh Binh Department of Culture and Sports, Mr. Bui Van Manh - Provincial Commissioner, Director of the Department Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, as well as leaders from the office of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province and various provincial departments and agencies. On the side of the university, there were leaders of the uUniversity, heads deputy heads of departments and units, along with 51 Laotian exchange students.
Overview of the ceremony
At the beginning of the ceremony, KhoneSaVanh Ounalom, a student of class D12 Business Administration, representing Laotian exchange students, summarized the significance of the traditional Bunpimay New Year of the ethnic groups in the Lao People's Democratic Republic: Bunpimay Traditional New Year takes place annually from the 14th to the 16th of April. This is the occasion for the Laotian people to welcome the new year, pray for favorable weather, good crops, well-being for all beings, good health, and happiness. The traditional Bunpimay New Year of the Lao ethnic groups is celebrated with rituals such as worshipping gods and tying of wristbands. The wristband symbolizes the giver's wishes and blessings for the recipient, hoping that the best things will come to them, and they will have good health, favorable weather, abundant harvests, and happiness. On this occasion, the Laotian exchange students express their gratitude to Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, as well as the leaders of the departments, agencies, the university, and the teachers who have always cared for and provided the best conditions for the Laotian exchange students to study, research, gain knowledge, and develop their skills at Hoa Lu University. The students promise to make determined efforts in their studies and personal growth, aiming to achieve high academic achievements and consistently adhere to the university's rules and regulations. After graduation, they will return to their home country and contribute effectively, utilizing the capabilities and expertise they have acquired at Hoa Lu University.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Quang Ngoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts and endeavors of the university's leadership and staff in the field of education and training, particularly in training Laotian exchange students. The Chairman suggested that the university continue to pay attention to and provide the best conditions for Laotian exchange students to achieve the highest academic results and personal development. On the occasion of Bunpimay Traditional New Year, the Chairman extended New Year greetings to the Laotian students and their families, wishing them good health and happiness. He wished the Laotian exchange students to consistently achieve high academic results, strive to become outstanding officials of U-dom-xay Province and the country of Laos after graduation, and continue to build strong and comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, ensuring the enduring and sustainable relationship between the two nations.

On behalf of the university's leadership, Mr. Vu Van Truong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University, presented gifts to the Laotian exchange students studying at Hoa Lu University on the occasion of the traditional Bunpimay New Year of the ethnic groups in the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

In the festive atmosphere of the traditional Bunpimay New Year, the Laotian exchange students celebrated the arrival of the new year according to the customs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. They performed rituals to worship the spirits, and tied wristbands on each other's wrists. The wristband symbolized the giver's wishes and signifies the desire that the recipient would receive the best things in life, including good health, favorable weather, abundant harvests, and happiness for everyone. In this warm and united atmosphere of the Bunpimay New Year, filled with deep friendship, we prayed for a new year filled with health, peace, luck, happiness, and success.
