Introduction about Department of Academic Affairs and Scientific Management

I. History and development

The Deparment of Academic Affairs and Scientific Management of Hoa Lu University was formerly known as the Training Department of Ninh Binh Teachers College.

At present, the Departments has 9 staffs, lecturers and experts, including 01 Deputy Director in charge, 01 Deputy Director, 07 lecturers and specialists. There are 01 PhD and 08 Masters.

II- Mandates

1. Functions

The Deparment of Academic Affairs and Scientific Management is a unit that has the function of advising the Principal on the management, synthesis, suggestion, implementation and management of formal training and scientific- technology of the whole school;

2. Tasks

- Advising the university’s development strategy;

- Developing indicators, plans and organizing regular enrollment of the school system;

- To elaborate plans, prepare conditions and dossiers and carry out procedures to open new sector code for colleges and universities according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training;

- To assume the prime responsibility for elaborating programs and plans on training of regular education levels and branches of schools;

- Assist the Rector in organizing, managing, inspecting and supervising the implementation of the training plan, contents of the training program, the implementation of internal rules and regulations;

- To work out plans and organize the apprenticeship and practice appraisal; supervise the teaching of national defense and security education for regular students;

- Managing the training results; managing the enrollment dossiers and training dossiers; managing the allocation of diplomas, certificates and transcripts of all educational levels and training disciplines;

- To work out plans, organize the management and implementation of scientific research activities of cadres, lecturers and students in the whole school. Guide to registration of scientific subjects, scientific contests at the provincial level or higher;

- Coordinate with the units to propose and organize the implementation of measures to improve the quality of training of the school.

IV. Outstanding achievements

Continuously recognized as the advanced unit of the school, each year there are 2-3 junior emulation fighters, and has received many awards and emulation titles:

- In 2010, the Minister of Education awarded the certificate of merit for outstanding achievements in the school year 2009-2010;

- In 2009 and 2012, the Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People’s Committee awarded the title of excellent labor collective;

- The year 2008; 2010; 2011; 2014; 2016 is awarded the title of collective labor advanced by the President of Hoa Lu University;

- 2011; 2013 Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievement in the academic year 2010-2011; 2012-2013.

The staffs of the Department have a high sense of responsibility, solid professional capacity, enthusiastic in their work, always fulfilling their duties and are awarded with certificates of contribution to their home every year. Field:

- In 2007, one individual was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister; 2 individuals were awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training and 1 individual was awarded Certificate of Merit by the People’s Committee of Ninh Binh Province;

- In 2008, 1 individual was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the President of the Provincial People’s Committee and 1 individual was awarded Certificate of Merit by the Minister of Education;

- In 2009, 2 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee and 1 individual was awarded Certificate of Merit by the Minister of Education;

- In 2010, one individual was awarded the title of Meritorious Teacher by the State President;

- In 2011, one individual was awarded the Third Labor Medal by the President;

- In 2012, the Department has 1 individual was awarded the title of Provincial Emulation Fighter by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee;

- In 2013, 1 individual was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the President of the Provincial People’s Committee and 1 individual was awarded by the Minister of Education and Training;

- In 2015, there was one individual awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister;

- In 2016, one individual was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the People’s Committee.
