Faculty of Economics and Engineering

General information

The Faculty of Economics and Engineering is one of the new and relatively young faculties in comparison with the history of Hoa Lu University. The Faculty was established on November 1^st, 2007 under Decision No. 288/QĐ-ĐHHL by the Rector of Hoa Lu University, based on the Faculty of Economics and Tourism. At the beginning, the Faculty offered the training majors in accounting and business administration at associate's degrees and bachelor's degrees.

Despite of a short development path, the Faculty of Economics has consistently achieved remarkable achievements in teaching and scientific research. The faculty and its members are constantly growing. Up to now, the faculty has 29 lecturers including 27 Master’s Degree Holders (01 doctoral candidate) and 2 Bachelor’s Degree Holders (in post-graduate courses).

Along with improving professional skills, faculty members are also actively involved in theoretical and political theoretical training courses. Faculty members are not only teaching the students about professional knowledge but also the social knowledge and life skills. After the 4-year intensive training, graduates have a strong professional knowledge and are confident in business communication, which enable them to find jobs without difficulty and have important positions in society. They have opportunities to flexibly apply to the work of economic bachelors such as accounting, financial analysis, business administration. Therefore, after nearly 10 years since kick-started training bachelors in accounting, business administration, graduates of the faculty have been highly appreciated by the recruiters for their professional capacities as well as abilities to handle the jobs.

At present, the Faculty of Economics - Engineering offers 4 training programs: Economics, Accounting, Business Administration and Technology, focuses on training 2 programs: Accounting and Business Administration. Theoretical studies are accompanied with empirical practice, aiming to train high-qualified human resources with professional skills.

Since its founding, the faculty and its members have identified scientific research as an important task. Every year, faculty members have registered for scientific research from institutional level to provincial level. The faculty's research focus is on: building bank exams for undergraduate courses, teaching work, student management, enhancing the management of training quality of the university to meet the demands for high quality labor of the economy, and local economic development.

At present, the faculty has over 400 students studying at different levels of training programs. The Faculty has been much concerned and focused on student affairs. Every year, the Faculty organizes arts and sports exchange activities among students of the faculty such as "Welcoming freshmen". Through these activities, students in the faculty have the solidarity, collaboration in learning and moral training.
