GENERAL INFORMATION

Hoa Lu University (HLU) was established pursuant to Decision No. 407/QD –TTg dated April 9^th, 2007 by the Prime Minister of Socialist Republic of Vietnam on upgrading Ninh Binh Teachers Training College. As a public institution in Vietnam Higher Education System, Hoa Lu University is attached to the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee and under the state management of the Ministry of Education and Training.

HLU has been assigned the tasks of training high quality human resources and researching on sciences and technology transfer in service of the socio-economic development of Ninh Binh Province and the country.

STAFFS

Currently Hoa Lu University has 300 staff members, of which there are 180 staff members holding Undergraduate, Master’s Degrees and Ph.D. Degrees. All the staffs are excellent in professional knowledge and skills and adaptable to new advanced educational programs.

TRAINING SCOPE

HLU provides training programs at Bachelor Degree and Associated Bachelor Degree in various courses: full-time, part-time, upgrading, linking, etc.

• HLU’s training subjects are sub-divided into 3 sectors: Teachers’ Training, Economic-Engineering, Culture-Tourism and Social Sciences.
• In addition, HLU has co-operated with famous universities in training Masters and Bachelors to meet people’s demand for studying.

• Master Degree: Mathematics, Literature, Educational Management, Economics and Politics, IT.
• Bachelor Degree: Civil & Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration, Cultural Management, Social Affairs, Pedagogical Painting Art and Music.

• Besides, HLU has conducted a number of training courses for educational managers to improve their management skills; HLU also trained and issued certificates of Teaching Skills, national certificates of English, Informatics, etc.

INFRUSTRUCTURE:

Hoa Lu University now has two campuses:

• Campus 1 (area: 5,7ha): includes 65 standard lecture-rooms, 16 labs with modern technology, 2 administrative high-rise buildings, 1 multi-use building with 1000 seat capacity, 2 high-rise dormitories with 700 student capacity; library with thousands of books meeting the demand for training, scientific research and technology transfer.
• Campus 2 (area: 25ha): is being constructed in order to come into use in the near future.
